Bethel ministry is a ministry of helps to an orphanage in Mexico. The children there have come
From homes where they have been abused and hurt. This ministry began in the middle of 1997.
My wife and I (Sergio & Blanca) found out about this
Orphanage from a minister that came to minister here in Houston. He invited us to go and visit the home so we could see for ourselves the need they had. The Lord moved us to go and when we got there we found 25 children. We brought along a few gifts of food and a little money that we were able to gather from our church in Houston. With the money we bought food like rice, beans and milk.
Since our first visit, we met these children and met the directors of the orphanage Ismael & Lorena
Sifuentes, we have felt a responsibility towards our home. Since then we have traveled once a month to Mexico, sometimes they come and meet us half way and pick up the food we've collected for the children.

The need has increased greatly day by day. Every day new children arrive from the streets, some from drunkard parents, prostitutes, single mothers or just plain orphaned children. Each one arrives with their particular story, some even barring scars on their little faces.

What is Bethel doing for these little ones? In place of hurt and pain they give love, food, clothing, shoes and a roof over their heads. The children also receive secular and spiritual education. Bethel is a Christian home where the children are thought the word of God.

Today Bethel has 180 children from 3 months to 14 years old. Bethel also is a Bible School where young men and woman come to study for the ministry and while they are studying they also help in the care of the children. They help with the chores also. In all Bethel has 270 people who all live by faith.

We the Artigas, who live in Houston, Tx. Want to ask anyone who can to help us help these children. Give what you can to back up this ministry to help rescue these children at a time that they really need us. If these children had to go back to where they came from all that awaits them is a bad example. The more children that we can rescue, the more growth to the church of God. If we don't help we are just going to see a growth in juvenile delinquency.

A wise man once wrote, "He that has pity on the poor lends unto the Lord"…
